Intro 375 Needs Support

A request from Alex:

I've been assisting Councilman Rodriguez's office as a volunteer in
setting up an online petition to gather support for Intro 375:

www.nycparkingreform.org

They are hoping to get 50,000 signatures by January 18th.

If you are unfamiliar with Intro 375, it would change alternate side
of the street parking regulations to allow drivers to leave their car
once street sweepers have passed by. It would also allow drivers to
park on the side of the street being swept before a street sweeper has
come, as long as they move it if and when the street sweeper arrives.

We are hoping local neighborhood blogs write about the petition
process to gain signatures by the 18th, when Councilman Rodriguez and
other local elected officials (the intro has over 30 co-sponsors) hold
a rally on the steps to City Hall.
